The AE series feature one of our more popular ergonomic options, at a reasonable price. Larger upholstered saddle-shaped seats are contoured to pamper your posterior and reduce leg strain, while your lower back is supported by our standard ergonomic backrest. Select options like seat adjustment controls, backrests, armrests, casters and glides. Standard Features: Backrest: 15 1/2" wide x 14 1/2" high, lumbar support, plastic protective panel. Seat: Saddle-shaped seat with waterfall front, 21" wide x 19" deep x 3" thick with four-way contouring and internal seat board bumperguard. Controls: Task Control standard. Soft Touch pneumatic seat-height adjustment, fixed rearward seat tilt of 3 1/2°, backrest tilt, backrest-height adjustment. Metal Parts: AEP Series chairs have a standard powder-coated finish or a chrome-plated finish when specified with a C option code (base remains polished on powder-coated models). Base: Rugged 5-legged fully polished cast aluminum base with 27" leg spread. Casters and Glides: Standard casters are a single-wheel ball bearing caster for hard floors. Standard glides are nickel plated. Fire Retardant: Meets California Technical Bulletin 117; treatment to meet CAL 133 is optionally available. Upholstery: vinyls and fabrics are available to meet your needs. Optional Seat Controls: ASC - The articulating seat control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment. Seat and backrest tilt independently and lock into place with one lever. EXE - The executive tilt control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment, backrest-height adjustment, backrest-tilt adjustment and the seat and backrest swivel/tilt in unison. Tilt-tension control knob and single lever seat tilt lock in any position. FFAC - The free float articulating control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment. Seat and backrest tilt independently with separate levers and can free-float or lock into place.
