Count on the BE Series chairs for toughness and durability plus greater overall back support. Each chair in this series features a different base to meet varied environmental and budget demands. Concave seats, contoured backrests with lumbar supports are standard. Customize by selecting from a wide variety of options, upholsteries or performance packages. Standard Features: Backrest: 15 1/2" wide x 14 1/2" high, lumbar support, plastic protective panel. Seat: Concave, 18 1/2" wide x 16 1/2" deep x 3" thick with internal seatboard bumperguard. Controls: Task Control standard. Soft Touch pneumatic seat-height adjustment, fixed rearward seat tilt of 3_°, backrest tilt, backrest-height adjustment. Metal Parts: BET Series chairs have a standard powder-coated finish or a chrome-plated finish when specified with a C option code. Base: Rugged 5-legged tubular steel base with 20" diameter attached footring, 23" leg spread. Casters and Glides: Standard casters are a single-wheel ball bearing caster for hard floors. Standard glides are nickel plated. Fire Retardant: Meets California Technical Bulletin 117; treatment to meet CAL 133 is optionally available. Upholstery: vinyls and fabrics are available to meet your needs. Optional Seat Controls: ASC - The articulating seat control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment. Seat and backrest tilt independently and lock into place with one lever. EXE - The executive tilt control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment, backrest-height adjustment, backrest-tilt adjustment and the seat and backrest swivel/tilt in unison. Tilt-tension control knob and single lever seat tilt lock in any position. FFAC - The free float articulating control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment. Seat and backrest tilt independently with separate levers and can free-float or lock into place.
