Each chair within the UU Series features a different base to meet varied environmental and budget demands. These chairs are designed to help you maintain a spotless appearance even in environments filled with splashes, smears, dirt and grime. Washable resistance to chemicals, lubricants and more make them a perfect choice for many laboratory and manufacturing settings. Comfort is assured through ergonomic lumbar supports and seats. Standard Features: Backrest: Self-skinned urethane with integral lumbar support, 16 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" high with 3/32" ventilating ribs. Seat:Self-skinned urethane, 18 1/2" wide x 17" deep x 1 1/2" thick with waterfall front, shaped rear edge and 3/32" ventilating ribs. Controls: Task Control standard, Soft Touch pneumatic seat-height adjustment, fixed rearward seat tilt of 3 1/2°, backrest tilt, backrest height adjustment. Metal Parts: UUN Series chairs have a standard powder-coated finish or a chrome-plated finish when specified with a C option code (base remains black plastic with the C option). Base: Rugged 5-legged black reinforced composite base with 27" leg spread; not for ESD use. Casters and Glides: Standard casters are a single-wheel ball bearing caster for hard floors. Standard glides are nickel plated. Optional Seat Controls: ASC - The articulating seat control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment. Seat and backrest tilt independently and lock into place with one lever. FFAC - The free float articulating control features pneumatic seat-height adjustment and backrest-height adjustment.
