So how does HaloShield Work?During normal laundering, the special HaloShield treatment grabs the chlorine molecules and anchors them to the soaker layer. Now fully charged, the HaloShield underpad is ready to attack the bacteria responsible for unpleasant odors. When the odor-causing bacteria come into contact with the HaloShield pad, they are killed by the natural antimicrobial properties of chlorine. Best of all, Haloshield is rechargeable technology. As illustrated in the diagram to the right, once the soiled Haloshield underpad is laundered with chlorine bleach, the underpad is once again fully charged for maximum odor control.
